Old Fire Fuzhou dragon
Rattan, paper and horse bristle

Making dragon and qilin heads blends tradition, symbolism and artistry. Each is made entirely by hand, from cutting and bending the frame to layering paper, sculpting details and painting.
Where lions are guardians, dragons embody cosmic power, prosperity and vitality, while the qilin is revered as a bearer of purity, fortune and protection — central figures in Southern Chinese celebrations.
Every head is made on commission, then finished with fur, horsehair and ornaments. They can be displayed as art pieces, with or without internal lighting, or carried in procession and dance. Delivery with or without body sections; the eye-dotting ceremony (開光) is available in the workshop or for your troupe.
